IT Support Engineer – Windows Server, VMware, Office 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, ERP, CRM, Manufacturing Systems – Newbury – £30k + bonus + good bens

 

My client has a specific need for an experienced IT Support Engineer to play a key role in administering and maintaining the applications software and IT infrastructure systems across the site. This is a 1st and 2nd Line support role requiring a broad knowledge of software applications and Windows technologies.

 

IT Support Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

– Provide technical triaging, problem-solving and 1st and 2nd line IT support across the business

– Provide proactive and reactive support across Windows server/ desktop, VMWare, O365, VMWare, Active Directory and Azure

– Ensure that the correct priority and severity are assigned to all application issues

– Day-to-day systems administration including system checks, security checks, incident and service request tickets across the Windows server/ desktop estate

– Ensure that acceptable workarounds are in place and lasting solutions delivered within service levels across the whole Windows estate and both ERP and CRM applications

 

IT Support Engineer Skills and Experience:

– A demonstrable track record in an IT support engineering role

– Strong experience of supporting Windows server/ desktop admin and support, including Office 365, Active Directory, VMWare and Azure AD 

– Hands-on expertise in the pro-active management of application upgrades, patches and fixes

– Significant track record in providing IT support to both on-prem and Cloud environments

– Excellent communication skills and experience of working with 3rd party suppliers/ partners

 

The role would suit an IT Support Engineer with broad-ranging experience across both IT infrastructure and ERP/ CRM/ manufacturing applications software. This is a collaborative, open environment so the ability to communicate effectively will be beneficial.
