Azure Cloud Engineer – Terraform, Ansible, Azure Catalogue, PaaS, SaaS, Git, IaC, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Kubernetes, Docker – Hybrid (Warrington) – £57k + excellent bonus + excellent bens

 

An experienced Azure Cloud Engineer is urgently required to join a team responsible for the design and implementation of full suite of large, complex fully-automated infrastructure deployments as part of a technical Transformation programme involving a transition from an on-prem environment to Cloud and Automation. Strong Terraform skills are essential.

 

Azure Cloud Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

– Design, build, and operate my client’s Azure infrastructure, adhering to the best practice architecture standards

– Develop and maintain IaC codebase and ensure platform services are safe, performant and operable

– Support development teams through mentoring in IaC and best use of Azure services

– Interact closely with architects, development, and service teams to deliver together

– Operate in an Agile environment, balancing delivery with the need for solid foundations

 

Azure Cloud Engineer Skills and Experience:

– In-depth Azure expertise, operating at organisation rather than service level

– Experience building, deploying, and operating core services in a multi-account Azure architecture

– In-depth experience with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform and Git

– Detailed experience of the full workings of Azure DevOps pipelines

– Strong, hands-on knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible

– Good working knowledge of containerised environments (Kubernetes/Docker).

 

You will provide strategic technical input and full implementation expertise across the full Organisational level (rather than just the Service level) of the organisation. The ability to manage your own time and prioritise incidents and issues will also be required.
