IT Infrastructure Engineer – Windows Server, VMWare Workspace ONE, Okta, Active Directory, Office 365, EUC, Azure, Hypervisors – Hybrid (Warrington) – to £55k + bonus + excellent bens

 

My client has a specific need for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in driving the transition of my client’s IT Infrastructure environment from an on-prem setting to a hybrid on-prem/ Cloud estate. There is a focus on improving the user experience of the EUC (Enduser Computing) environment in this role so projects carried out in that landscape would be ideal

 

IT Infrastructure Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

– Develop and improve the core IT infrastructure environment (Windows/ VMWare)

– Play a key role in helping to improve the EUC environment (Windows, VMWare Workspace ONE, Office 365, Okta, AD)

– Help to facilitate an Infrastructure shift from on-prem to hybrid Cloud (Azure)

– Deliver hands-on technical solutions to improve the overall quality of infrastructure builds with a focus on resilience, stability, performance and security

– Use configuration management tools and repositories to ensure a scalable, highly available IT infrastructure

 

IT Infrastructure Engineer Skills and Experience:

– Significant track record in providing IT Infrastructure engineering solutions, ideally to both on-prem and Cloud environments

– Hands-on infrastructure design and implementation skills across the EUC arena

– In-depth technical experience with Windows server, VMWare Workspace ONE, Okta, Active Directory and Office 365

– Knowledge of a transition to an Azure Cloud environment would be ideal

– Experience of IT infrastructure change projects across the Wintel server and storage space

 

The role would suit an IT Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in design, support and implementation. Wintel technologies and virtualisation skills (VMware Workspace ONE) will be needed. This is a collaborative, open environment so the ability to communicate effectively will be beneficial.
